Now it is a good time to get in some Hyatt stays when the Hyatt has two overlapping promotions; 2500 Aeroplan miles per stay and 5000 Hyatt Gold Passport points for every three nights.

The Aeroplan promotion runs until the end of September and the Hyatt points promotion until the November 15th.

You can use Aeroplan, Air Canada’s loyalty program, miles to book travel on wide variety of carriers as the carrier belongs to Star Alliance.

Normally you can get 500 Aeroplan miles per stay, but during this promotion you will get 2000 extra miles. You will not earn Hyatt Gold Passport points for your stay when you choose miles. You will be eligible for the 5000 Hyatt Gold Passport for every three nights even when you choose Aeroplan miles for your stay.

Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond members are eligible for the Diamond amenity bonus points even when they choose miles. This will require a call to customer service after the stay has posted as it won’t post automatically when one chooses miles for stay.

If non-Diamond member does 6 stays before the end of this month, he would earn 10000 Hyatt Gold Passport points + 15000 Aeroplan miles. Conservatively we can value both at 1.5 cents per mile and thus you would essentially earn a $375 rebate. Not bad considering that you can often find full service Hyatt in the US for $100 or so during the weekends.

Diamond member would earn additional 6000 points, when staying at full service Hyatt brands, by choosing 1000 points instead of Diamond amenity per stay.

Terms & Conditions for the Aeroplan offer:

Earn 5X Aeroplan Miles with every Hyatt stay

To be eligible to participate in this Promotion, you must be a member of Hyatt Gold Passport and request enrollment code AC001. Join Hyatt Gold Passport via www.hyatt.com/ACSUM11 or call 1-800-228-3360 and request enrollment code AC001. Receive 2,500 Aeroplan Miles per completed eligible stay between July 1, 2011 and September 30, 2011 (“Promotion Period”) at any Hyatt hotel worldwide. A maximum of 25,000 Aeroplan Miles may be earned during the Promotion Period. You must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport and Aeroplan Number at time of check-in, choose miles for your stay and pay an Eligible Rate. Hyatt Gold Passport will track all stays in which your Hyatt Gold Passport and Aeroplan account Numbers are provided
