American Airlines AAdvantage Members Can Now Redeem on Etihad.

by John Ollila on October 19, 2011

Passengers flying on Etihad (EY), the national airline of United Arab Emirates based in Abu Dhabi, have already been able to credit their flights to American Airlines AAdvantage program, with few exclusions, for some time.  Etihad flights booked on American Airlines flight numbers are also eligible for EQM’s and extra RDM’s. Flights booked entirely on Etihad flight numbers are not eligible for EQM’s.

Etihad has grown very fast since its founding five years ago. This greatly helps AAdvantage members who wish to redeem for destination in the Middle East/Indian Subcontinent. Abu Dhabi itself is a worthy place to visit for few days. Dubai is only about an hour and a half drive away.
