1000 Bonus Starpoints for Staying at a Newly Renovated Sheraton Hotels

Nothing is better than getting some extra points. Starwood is offering 1000 bonus Starpoints per stay at the 25 newly renovated Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. This is valid for stays from March 20th, to June 30th, 2012. You need to register for this promotion to get the extra points.

What I really like about this promotion is that all the paid rates are qualifying.  You don’t have to book a special rate code, which is often inflated, to get the points. Note that you won’t get the bonus points for award for cash & points bookings.

When can I register for the promotion?
An SPG® member must register between March 20, 2012 and June 15, 2012, midnight Eastern Time, furthermore referred to as the “registration period.”

Can anyone register for this promotion?
Any member may register at www.starwoodhotels.com/NArenovation. A non-member may join the complimentary program and register simultaneously, also at www.starwoodhotels.com/NArenovation.

I did not receive a confirmation email upon registering for the Renovated Hotels promotion. What do I do?
Registered members will not receive registration confirmation emails for the Renovated Hotels promotion. As long as a member reaches the confirmation webpage after entering their SPG number and clicking “register now,” they have successfully registered for the campaign. For any questions or concerns regarding registration confirmation, please contact SPG.com/contact.

What are the dates during which I can earn bonus Starpoints®?
Each registered member may earn bonus Starpoints for eligible stays at the participating properties from March 20, 2012, through June 30, 2012, furthermore referred to as the “promotion period.”

At what properties am I eligible to earn bonus Starpoints?

How can I earn bonus Starpoints?
A registered member will earn 1,000 Starpoints for all eligible stays during the promotion period.

What qualifies as a Starpoints-eligible stay?
An eligible stay is any stay at an SPG-participating property paying a qualifying rate that earns Starpoints as defined by section 1.4 of the SPG Terms & Conditions (SPG.com/t&c). Stays booked through prepaid third-party channels, such as Orbitz.com, Expedia.com, Travelocity.com, etc., are not eligible Rate Plans, and so the member may not earn Starpoints and will not qualify for any bonus offer.

How many Starpoints do I earn per stay?
A member will earn 1,000 Starpoints per stay at the participating properties.

Is there a limit to the number of bonus Starpoints I can earn?
No. Bonus Starpoints earnings for the Renovated Hotels promotion are unlimited during the promotion period.

Are the offer and promotion period the same across all participating properties?
Yes.

If I check in before March 20, 2012, or check out after June 30, 2012, does my stay earn the bonus?
Yes, as long as one night of the stay is within the promotion period, 1,000 bonus Starpoints will be earned for the entire stay.

If part of my stay has an Award Night or a night using Cash & Points, will my stay qualify?
No. Free Night Awards and Cash & Points are not Starpoints-eligible rates. Even if part of the stay is Award and part is paid, the member will not receive bonus credits for any part of the stay.

How soon will my bonus Starpoints post to my account?
Bonus Starpoints will post to the member’s account within 2-4 weeks of the eligible stay’s posting.

I booked a stay prior to March 20, 2012, but it occurs within the promotion period. Am I eligible to earn bonus Starpoints?
Yes, as long as the member registers for the promotion by June 15, 2012, and stays at a participating property within the promotion period, they will earn bonus Starpoints.

Will I earn stay and night credits toward elite status?
A member will earn stay and night credits as he or she normally does while earning bonus Starpoints.

Can I take advantage of other bonus Starpoints promotions at the same time?
Yes. However, each promotion provides bonus Starpoints independently of each other.

Registration: SPG® members must register online at www.starwoodhotels.com/NArenovation by June 15, 2012, midnight Eastern Time. Registered members can earn 1,000 bonus Starpoints® per stay with every eligible stay between March 20, 2012, and June 30, 2012, (the “promotion period”) at the participating properties only. A list of participating properties can be found at www.starwoodhotels.com/NArenovation and is subject to change. A list of non-SPG-participating hotels can be found at SPG.com/t&c under section 1.2.

Please Note: Members will know they have successfully registered for the North America Renovated Hotels and Resorts promotion upon reaching the registration confirmation webpage.  Registered members will not receive a registration confirmation email.

Earning: Registered members will earn 1,000 Starpoints per stay at participating properties during the promotion period that post to their SPG account.  There is no limit to the number of bonus Starpoints that can be earned during the promotion period.

Bonusing: Starpoints earned will post to the registered member’s account within 2–4 weeks after the qualifying stay posts.

Eligible stays: An eligible stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights within the promotion period at the participating properties paying an eligible rate in the same hotel, regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occur and post to the member’s Starwood Preferred Guest® account. Multiple rooms charged to the same member during the same stay will count as one stay. SPG-participating hotels and resorts and a description of qualifying rates can be found at SPG.com/t&c under program terms and conditions. See Section 1.4 for the complete definition of Eligible Rates, but note that certain prepaid rooms where the booking is made through a third party (including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com and orbitz.com) are not Eligible Rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify toward promotional earnings.
