I have had the Platinum status by request available for the past few months and it still is. This link that I posted about a month ago back in December is still alive (to my surprise). These public links usually tend to die within a day or two. Even if you have no use for Le Club Accorhotels Platinum status, you can always use it to status match to i.e. Club Carlson or Priority Club Platinum status.

Priority Club is set to release their new award structure on January 18, 2013. You can book using old award levels, if the price of the free night have gone up, until march 18, 2013, by calling Priority Club Rewards service center.

American Airlines & Qatar Airways have reached an agreement about codesharing each others flights. Qatar Airways is a Oneworld candidate and is expected to join the alliance in late 2013/early 2014. You can read AA’s press release about this agreement here.

There has been lot’s of coverage in the past week about the JAL’s problems with their new 787 planes. I was just watching CNN this morning, when they pointed out that there had been three separate incidents over the past weeks with JAL’s 787’s.


It is not unusual for new a new plane type to have some teething problems. JAL is currently the biggest Boeing 787 operator and haven’t had a very good week with the new planes. [click to continue…]
