Up To 2500 Bonus Air Canada Aeroplan Miles for One Flight and One/Two Partner Transactions

by John Ollila on January 17, 2013

Air Canada Aeroplan seems to often have promotions that are tied to their travel partners. This time you can earn up to 2500 bonus Aeroplan miles after one flight activity (can be Air Canada or other Star Alliance carrier) and one or two other travel partner transactions.

This promotion is valid until April 13, 2013, and you need to register for it.

The promotion refers to travel PARTNERS in the copy but only to travel partner transactions on the actual terms and conditions. This should imply that crediting two partner transactions besides the flight one should be enough to qualify you for the maximum bonus.

Last year, the eligible partner transaction could have been just converting a one Starpoint from Starwood to Aeroplan, but this no longer qualifies as a partner transaction for this promotion per the terms and conditions.

There are quite a few partner Aeroplan promotions going simultaneously, so participating to this promotion and crediting one flight activity can make sense.

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

*Aeroplan “Up to 2,500 Bonus Miles” Offer: Members must register for the promotion within the promotion period in order to receive the bonus miles, from January 14, 2013, to April 14, 2013. A maximum of 2,500 bonus miles per member may be earned during the promotion period. 1,000 bonus miles will be issued upon completion of one (1) flight transaction and one (1) eligible non-flight travel partner transaction, and an additional 1,500 bonus miles will be issued after completion of a 2nd eligible non-flight travel partner transaction, for a total of 2,500 bonus miles. Please note that some partners may take up to six (6) weeks to transfer the transactional information to Aeroplan. Actual travel activities such as flights, hotel stays, car rentals and parking stays must be completed between January 14, 2013 and April 14, 2013. Travel activities completed prior to registration but within the promotion period will be eligible if the member registers by 11:59PM EST on April 14, 2013. A flight transaction activity refers to regular (base) miles that are earned for flights from the airline partner. A travel partner activity refers to regular (base) miles that are earned for hotel stays, car rentals and parking transactions directly from the travel partner. Flight segments flown as part of an Air Canada Vacations package qualify as a flight transaction. A hotel stay booked as part of an Air Canada Vacations package does not qualify as a travel partner transaction. Cruise bookings do not qualify as eligible travel transactions. The member is responsible for providing the travel partner with their Aeroplan Number at the time of booking or check-in, in accordance with the travel partner’s terms and conditions for earning regular (base) miles. For full details on how to earn miles with each partner, please visit aeroplan.com/earn_miles/our_partners.do. Miles earned for hotel, car or vacation package bookings made ataeroplan.com/destinationmiles do not qualify as eligible travel transactions. Earning miles for redeeming with Aeroplan Travel Partners does not qualify as an eligible travel transaction.
