Priority Club / InterContinental Hotels Group Master Property List with 2012 & 2013 Point Requirements

by -

Priority Club just changed the award categories/points requirements of more than half of the properties on its portfolio. More went up compared to down. Unlike all other major hotel chains, Priority club has refused to release a list of properties of moving up/down.

We have now updated the Priority Club / InterContinental Hotels Group Master Property list with the new point requirements.

Note that this list is missing about 250 properties. If you know a property that is not on the list, please leave a message below or send me an email. Include the property name, previous point requirement (if you know it) and the current one. We will periodically update this list. We have not included the missing properties that we have been made aware of in the past 24 hours.

You can book using the old point requirement until March 18, 2013, but you can only do this by phone. Priority Club uses outsourced call center in the Philippines and you may come across an uninformed agent. Just hang up and call again or request the call to be transferred to a supervisor if they refuse to book using old points requirements.

“If you have a current Reward Night reservation we will not be changing the points required and any new Reward Night reservations you book before January 18th will be at the current price point. And, because we want this change to be as easy as possible, we’re honoring the old points required for any new Reward Night reservations made through March 18th. Our Priority Club Rewards Service Center agents are trained to help; just call and ask for the old price.”

This is according to John Muehlbauer
Director, Priority Club Rewards

You can compare the new point requirements to the ones by having a look at the updated property list that we have just released. .

If you have award reservations, you should check the current point requirements. Request adjustment if the number of points required for the free night has gone down.

The award night point requirements have significantly up in major metropolitan areas like San Francisco, New York, London etc. I will have more analysis about this change tomorrow.

Crowne Plaza Istanbul – Harbiye seems to be missing.

    • I remember checking some CP in IST. Is this property open?

      • tron

Sure it is, stayed there a couple of days ago. πŸ™‚ There are a total of 5 CPs in Istanbul, 3 already open.

I just checked HI Old Sydney and HI Munich City Center and they went up to 35K so amazing deal for those that booked for 10K a few days ago.

Look how London sinked in the red!!!ridiculous.

  • rmwk

Ridiculous the Crown Plaza Causeway Bay Hong Kong is now 45000 points up 10000 and equal to Intercontinental Hong Kong down 5000 to 45000 This makes no senses whatsoever.Back to the Conrad Hilton for me.

    • it was only 25k for CP causeway bay 2 years ago! Need to find better value hotels in hkg for my future stays!

      • rmwk

Totally agree .Been staying there since it opened several times a year ,sadly no longer I will be staying elsewhere. The priority club has lost me to its competition.

  • Flyingboy

Almost all the London Properties have increased by 10,000 points even HIEX! Outrageous. They have really undervalued the programme now, no longer worth being a platinum member. It may be worth platinum members to ask Hilton or Marriott for a status match

Masterful job. Great work, John! Although I am not happy about the price increases, there are some good values still to be found and which can now be because of your hard work.

Miami Beach – FL, South Beach ocean Hotel – Shows no change. It actually went from 35K to 45K (used to be 25K a year ago before devaluation)

Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central is missing

John, Thank you very much, very sad our regular Christmas home is Holiday Inn Resort Phuket, usually have 8 or 9 free nights, gone up from 25k to 30K it means one less free night, and less opportunities to earn point with bonuses will make it more difficult. Not really complaining as we get a very good deal with the upgrade.

  • You have done an amazing job with this! Us eco-travelers came off pretty well, only losses for us were in Australia but most of the countries I recommend to my readers for birding went down.
