Conclusion

Seems that Hyatt is targeting Gold Passport members with number of different offers to find out what works and what doesn’t.

None of these offers is very lucrative, if you have lot of stays coming up during this three month period.

I was a Hyatt Diamond last year but was only able to retain Platinum for this year. I received the 3,000/night for 3 nights max 9,000 points. If it falls into place I’ll stay at a Hyatt or two to get some of these bonuses, but right now I am just booking the 2x base point offers at almost every Hilton in order to both gain more points (2x + diamond bonus) and to make sure I re-qualify this year.

3K bonus points per night is a very good offer.

      • joeypore

*Per stay, of course. But a 1-night stay is 3K per night!! haha. If it were 3K per day… I would for sure pay, that I will say.

  • Ben S

I’m Hyatt Diamond and have received nothing. I will not be pleased if I’m not offered at least something.

There have been quite a few that have yet to receive any bonus offer from Hyatt. I am not sure if this is just an oversight or if Hyatt will have another global promo as well.

In your experience, is it worth asking Gold Passport to provide a promotion to me? Do they entertain such offers?

        • Mark

You can ask, but HGP will not do anything. First the 50K UA gift, then the free night for 50 unique properties and now this targetted promo. And no details as to what the qualification criteria is. I am 0-3 now on these offers. Hyatt can stick it, I am voting with my wallet.

I didn’t get the first two that friend of mine did. Did get the 5K for one stay offer now, however.

        • http://loyaltylobby.com/ John O.

I believe that this may be a targeted promotion for those that have not stayed with the Hyatt for some time.

  • lsed

    Perhaps for US only?
I didn’t receive this offer and I’m diamond as well

Could be. Let’s hope that there is a global promo as well.

I didn’t get any of those emails for Hyatt promotion…I have 4-5 stays are coming up in next two months

I just wrote a follow up on this. Apparently Hyatt us allowing non-targeted members to sign up for one of these by contacting the Hyatt Gold Passport customer service.

I’m Hyatt Diamond member and have received nothing. I have 7 stays are coming up in next one months

    • http://loyaltylobby.com/ John O.

They have extended this offer for some Hyatt members that have called the Gold Passport.

I’m Hyatt Diamond member and I already stayed several days from 29th,Jun.
    Also I’ll stay this saturday.

    • http://loyaltylobby.com/ John O.

You need to contact Hyatt to find out if they can sign you up.

i just called. they said “no.” And i am a diamond member. that blows. i guess i shot my chances for being eligible for this promotion because i regularly stay at Hyatts at least twice a month. So much for brand loyalty.

    • http://loyaltylobby.com/ John O.

Sometimes it doesn’t pay to be too loyal.

  • joeypore

I don’t stay at Hyatts all too often, but I have the Chase Hyatt card, and I do stay at them from time to time. I got the 3K per stay target, and it works out perfectly as I have 3 relatively inexpensive 1 night stays this month. Hello 9K in Hyatt points!!

    • http://loyaltylobby.com/ John O.

You got the offer by email? It seems that these summer offers were mainly for those that don’t frequent Hyatts too often.

      • joeypore

I did get the offer by email. I received it about 3 weeks after a stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. I probably have about 5 paid stays for the year with Hyatt, another 4 with points / free nights. Been focusing on Hilton as their rates have been pretty great lately, at least where I need hotels.

But I agree. If you’re too loyal, you give them no reason to offer you incentives.
