Sounds like a good offer, but I’m debating whether it’s worthwhile to put anything into Aeroplan these days.

    • If you have SPG stays coming up during the promotion period, there is absolutely nothing for you to lose. These are in additional to whatever Starpoints you earn. You might be able to dump them via Points.com at horrible rate somewhere if you so wish.

Does one need to register prior to a stay? Just wondering what happens with a stay from Aug 31st to September (n)-th… With signup done on Sept 1st… Will they count (n-1) nights (all except first night which was in August and prior to signup) or just nothing? Hate those small characters… Can’t find an answer.

    • I would not expect the stay to count if you check out on September 1.

What I meant with (n) and (n-1) nights is that I don’t know yet when I’ll check out (Sept 5, 6, 7, … ?). Let’s say I checkout one Sept 5th. Do you expect the nights from Sept 1-5 to count even if initial checkin was Aug 31st, and registration was on Sept 1 ? Thanks !

        • Yes. Even if your stay has begun before the promotion the dates that fall within the promotion do count.
