Club Carlson is offering up to 40% off and triple points for stays in China during their National Holiday. This offer is valid for stays between September 28 and October 13, 2013.

The rate is definitely nowhere near 40% off but is at least the lowest. Seems that this property has not loaded the discount rate for their base level rooms.

Note that you need to book this specific “China National Day Getaway” rate plan in order to be eligible for the triple points.

Conclusion

There is no chainwide Club Carlson promotion going on at the moment. Let’s hope that they would come up with a great promotion soon.

This offer for triple points is not bad. The rates, however, for these business hotels is usually very low around the Chinese holidays when the business related travel is way down.

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

  • The China National Day Holiday Getaway offer (“Offer”) is available for reservations made during the period commencing 11 September 2013 and ending 12 October 2013 (“Booking Period”) for Eligible Stays during the period beginning 28 September 2013 and ending 13 October 2013 (“Stay Period”) at participating Radisson Blu and Park Plaza hotels in China (“Participating Hotels”).
  • “Eligible Stay” is defined as a stay of at least 1 night at a Participating Hotel which commences and is completed during the Stay Period and for which a reservation was made specifically under the Offer during the Booking Period and no later than the day before the guest’s check-in date, via phone, on-line or directly in person with the Participating Hotel.
  • A guest will receive up to a 40% discount off the Best Available Rate for an Eligible Stay. The percentage discount varies with each Participating Hotel and the applicable discount will be as displayed, or informed to the guest by the Participating Hotel, at the time of booking.
  • The “Best Available Rate” is a specific type of rate for each Participating Hotel that may vary, is unrestricted and excludes discounted or negotiated rates not available to the general public.
  • This Offer is subject to availability and blackout dates, which may vary at each Participating Hotel. The number of rooms available for this Offer at each Participating Hotel may be limited and additional restrictions may apply. Each Participating Hotel may extend this Offer (i) at such times and (ii) for such periods of time as it may decide during the Booking Period.
  • Room rate does not include breakfast unless otherwise stated.
  • This Offer only applies to the room rate and does not apply to any incidental charges (such as service charges, room service, phone charges and related taxes) incurred or accrued during the Eligible Stay. Extra person charges may apply if exceeding double occupancy.
  • This Offer is not applicable to groups or with other offers.
  • Cancellation and adjustment policies apply and vary with each Participating Hotel.

  • Club Carlson members will earn Triple Gold Points® for each Eligible Stay specifically booked under this Offer. “Triple Gold Points®” means the standard 20 Gold Points® that Club Carlson members earn per US Dollar spent plus an additional 40 bonus Gold Points® per U.S. Dollar spent.
  • Only one Club Carlson member account will be credited for each Eligible Stay. The Triple Gold Points® will only be credited into the Club Carlson account 6 to 8 weeks after completion of such Eligible Stay. The Triple Gold Points® will be awarded based on the amount spent during an Eligible Stay on the room rate(s) and eligible food and beverages charged to a Club Carlson member’s room, exclusive of any taxes, levies, charges and fees.

    I was able to book this rate a couple of weeks ago when it showed on the Beijing Park Plaza booking page. However at the time the link to the promotion description page wasn’t up. Wondering if I will still earn the 3x CC points since I did not book during the special period which started today. Checking from your link this morning I could not find this special rate on the night I will be in Beijing (October 11/12). Shall have to see what happens next month.

      If it was, I am not 100% sure whether it qualifies for triple points or not.

        Yes, just checked the booking (and printed it off with the window opened to show the details of the rate). It also notes booking date was valid back on the August day I booked it. Same terms, bonus, etc.
