IHG Reward Club has a new US airline partner. You can now earn JetBlue TrueBlue points for your IHG stays.

You must choose partner miles your earning preference and designate JetBlue TrueBlue as the partner program.

You can access IHG Rewards Club web page for this airline partnerships here.

Here are the earning options for JetBlue that are IHG brand and area dependent:

members will earn 2 points per $1 USD or local currency equivalent paid on eligible charges at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, and at all Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn® and Holiday Inn Express® hotels worldwide.

At Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites®, TrueBlue members can earn 1 point per $1 USD or local currency equivalent paid on eligible charges.

At InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts outside of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, and at all InterContinental Alliance Resorts worldwide, members can earn 500 points per qualifying stay.

Conclusion

Earning airline miles instead of IHG Rewards Club points make very little sense (unless there is very good partner promotion).
