This offer is valid any night, but you must book it using a promotional code MRP.

You can access this offer on Marriott’s website here.

Here’s the list of participating properties:

AC Hotel Algeciras

AC Hotel Almeria

AC Hotel Cordoba

AC Hotel Huelva

AC Hotel La Linea

AC Hotel Malaga Palacio

AC Hotel Ciudad de Sevilla

Conclusion

These AC Hotels became part of Marriott couple of years ago and Marriott has now decided to bring this brand to the North American market. I stayed at one MadridAC property last year and wasn’t overly impressed.

You should check the rates offered under this promotion and only book if the rate is competitive.

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

Hotel voucher cannot be applied to the room rate or be redeemed for cash. Guest must book reservation using promotional code listed above in order to receive bonus points. Offer applies to one regular room per stay, per member on dates listed.  A “hotel stay” or “stay” means all consecutive nights spent with Marriott by a registered Marriott Rewards member.  Offer not available during special events; tax is additional; special offers cannot be combined; blackout dates may exist; advance reservations are required.  Offer does not apply to groups of 10 or more rooms.  Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion.

  • I fail to understand the allure of these offers. I could book a room at the AC Cordoba for 75 EUR without this ‘special deal’, or for 90 EUR and have an extra 500 Marriott points to my account. But why should I book this rate when I can always buy 1,000 points for US$ 12.5 if I need them? Can someone explain please?

    • I have started to cover these Marriott offers recently and have covered similar offers for IHG for a very long time.

With Marriott, the rates are not always higher than the discounted ones, but you absolutely must check. Sometimes these makes sense and sometimes they don’t.

Obviously some of these offers are targeted to business travelers that can expense their stays and pocket the bonus points.

      • Reduced rate is EUR 67.5, standard – EUR 75, 500 MR points rate – EUR 90. It’s just my luck that wherever I look for a MRP rate (Moscow, Sharm El Sheikh or Cordoba) it is noticeably higher than the standard one whereas the number of miles Marriott offers ‘for free’ is far less than I could purchase for the difference between the two rates. Would love to read about an MRP rate which makes sense for the guest, not only the hotel.

Edit: O-o-ps, just noticed the EUR 20 credit which goes with the offer! It’s starting to make sense now.

        • Yeah. There are number of offers for Marriott properties around the world. I am trying to do a comprehensive post about them this week.
