Apparently I’ve already registered! I’m certain this is first time I saw this promotion…very strange. Anyway, thanks John!

    • Take a screenshot just in case!

The bonus Virgin points did not post for this offer but the base Virgin points credited to my Flying Club account ok. I took a screen shot as per your advice and emailed the DD last week this is the reply i got.

“Members who received the maximum of 6000 bonus miles between October 1, 2013 –
January 31, 2014 will not qualify for another 6000 bonus miles for stays
completed between March 31st and April 30th.”

After a long and unsuccessful battle with Hilton customer services, I took this matter to the UK Advertising Standards Authority. Hilton have confirmed to them that people who received the points in 2013 Virgin should have also been eligible for the 2014 promotion. They are doing an exercise to award the points which is expected to be completed in 10 business days.

I get the same. I did register for the previous VS/HH promotion in Q413. I’m checking into a Hilton tomorrow, will let you know what happens.

Any update if this promo really works again for those that participated in Q4/13 and are “already registered”?

No idea sorry. My checkout invoice suggested I was going to earn Avios, so I swapped to points & points before the stay posted.

        • These are two different promos. It is Hilton’s responsibility to fix the posting if it doesn’t work as it should.

I stayed at a Hilton last Wednesday night. I received 2500 Virgin Atlantic miles bonus. This can only have come as a final night of three for the set which should have needed on the 31st January. I registered using your link and it said I had already registered.

It therefore appears this at the moment is set as an extension of the last offer on my account. I assume Hilton have made a mistake in setting it up.

    • It should be a separate offer. Just keep track when you tried to register for this offer (take screenshot) so that you can reconcile this with Hilton later if needed.

Is there value to doing this to credit back to HH from VS any more, or am I better off just taking HH points directly (rather than crediting to VS) now that the transfer ratio between VS and HH has been “enhanced?”

    • That is a good question. I will cover it on a separate piece.

  • LOL! They must have just copy/paste the link.

John – I randomly got credited 6000 VA points from Hilton just recently, after registering based on this post of yours. I got the 6000 points as per the 2013 Q4 promotion in in the 3 increments, however this latest credit of 6000 points came to me in one lump-sum, interestingly also quoting 2013 Q4 as the reason for the credit. Can only assume that this whole promotion was a bit of a mistake and they have just given the points. Note that I stayed many times at Hilton properties during the 2014 period, but was always set to Points + Points during this period, so that makes it even more confusing.

    • I believe that HH totally screwed up this promo claiming first that it was merely continuing from 2013 when that was not the case per the T&C’s that Hilton had up on its website.
