Marriott has several relatively unknown discount and offer codes that I will try to tackle in the next few week.

Marriott LPR Local Promotional Rate

Marriott has a promotional code LPR that stands for Local Promotional Rate. These are loaded by the properties and both the prices and eligibility varies a lot.

There is no Marriott web page for this offer, but you can use this link to book it. Makes sure that you expand the “SPECIAL RATES & AWARDS” and select the radio button next to the “Corporate / promotional code”.

Note that you should always read carefully the rate rules that the property has associated with this. Only book if it is publicly available or you fall within the eligibility requirement.

The discount offered using this promotional code varies a lot. You should always check all the available rates.

You just use the link here or type in the LPR to the Corporate/promotional code field on Marriott.com.

The regular rate search doesn’t return any special offers.

The LPR returns “Fall Weekend Discount”, although it would be spring time in SoCal, that is 10% off of the Best Available Rate and includes parking for one vehicle.

The rate rules that the property has associated with this offer doesn’t have any restrictions.

Conclusion

This is one of the discount offers that I have used over the years and it is a qualifying rate for points and stay/night credits.

You should always read the rate rules carefully, as this rate offer sometimes returns restricted offers and you should not book them.

I have had severe issues using this rate code in the past (e.g. renaissance bali or renaissance) and would advise only those willing to have lengthy discussions and are willing to pay rack rate to book with this code.

    • As I pointed out above, you must read the rate rules associated with the offer. It may bring up offers that are restricted.

There is no Renaissance hotel in Bali. There is the Autograph Collection Stones and Courtyard.

        U r correct – I meant the stones

Thanks for this post. I tried this code for all Marriott hotels in Istanbul, and found that this code only works for Courtyard IST airport one for certain dates. Was 89 euros but with LPR code, it displays 71 euros (20 percent discount, limited time offer), which is pretty good, but wish this code could have worked with other Marriott properties in Istanbul though. I actually got much better price than 71 euros for Courtyard properties mainly via Marriott BRG.

    • It is up to the properties to offer different LPR rates. I have rarely had any success with Marriott BRG’s outside of North America. They always claim that the competing site issues vouchers.

I have been business traveling for 15 years and this article was the most helpful I have ever read. I just saved $200/night at a Marriott in NYC (that’s off of the AAA rate). Thanks!

I am wondering if the code is dead or no good for area I am trying? I am playing with code for New Orleans. I’m actually not traveling until Aug of 2016, but am trying to figure out things now. When I put code in for any date in July,Aug, Sept or even Oct it says ” The hotels in this location are unavailable for your dates and/or special rates. Try changing your travel dates and/or special rate request. For stays of more than 220 days, please call in the US 1-888-236-2427 or phone number for a reservation agent near you.” Do you have any other codes I might try? Thank you!
