IHG Rewards Club announced yesterday that their Summer 2014 promo in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile & Colombia is “Reel Summer” from June 2 to September 2, 2014.

IHG Rewards Club members must register to win one of the five Grand Prize Hollywood experiences. Members can earn additional entries by playing online games and completing challenges. There are instant movie ticket and Coca Cola product prices as well.

IHG has also signed a partnership with Coca Cola to have their soft drink and juice brands at IHG hotels in the United States.

ATLANTA – (May 23, 2014) InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)], one of the world’s leading hotel companies, is teaming up with Coca-Cola to celebrate the summer season Hollywood-style with the IHG® Rewards Club “Reel Summer” promotion. The promotion, which runs June 2, 2014 through Sept. 2, 2014, launches on the heels of IHG and Coca-Cola’s recently announced partnership in which Coca-Cola beverages will be offered to guests during their stays at IHG®-branded hotels across the U.S.

The movie-themed promotion invites members of IHG® Rewards Club—the first and largest hotel loyalty program in the world—to enter daily for a chance to win one of five Hollywood experiences valued at approximately $10,000 each, as well as thousands of movie-themed[1] instant prizes daily, such as free movie theater tickets. The promotion is open to IHG® Rewards Club members who are residents of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Colombia and Chile.

How the “Reel Summer” promotion works:

Once registered, members are automatically entered to win one of five Grand Prize Hollywood experiences[2]

Members can complete challenges and play online games to earn additional entries into the Grand Prize drawing

Members also have a chance to win free movie theater tickets and Coca-Cola products via instant wins when they participate in the online games

New games and challenges will be updated often and members can track achievements and their reward status online at ihg.com/reelsummer

In addition to the “Reel Summer” Promotion, as part of the recently signed IHG and Coca-Cola agreement, IHG® Rewards Club members and all guests will soon enjoy Coca-Cola soft drink and juice brands during their stay at all participating hotel in the IHG family of brands in the U.S. The new agreement will provide a best-in-class and consistent beverage brand experience for guests across virtually all IHG hotel brands in the U.S., including InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo® Hotels, Holiday Inn® Hotels, Holiday Inn Express® Hotels, Staybridge Suites® Hotels and Candlewood Suites® Hotels, as well as provided on-post at IHG Army Hotels properties. Conclusion

IHG hinted about this Reel Summer promo about a month ago when they were emailing personalized Stay-bonus offers.

Let’s hope that there are additional promotions for earning more IHG Rewards Club points that we can then use for award nights.

    I must be missing something “real” here. So the “reel” promotion amounts to a lottery, that if you play games you get to have more entries for discounted movie tickets and coke? Concur with you John, in hopes that we’ll get “real” promotions for earning IHG rewards club points…. not all this change-the-subject jazz.

    Come on IHG let have some decent promotions where we can earn some points. If nothing happens soon rivals will be getting my summer bookings.

    I like IHG points because they are usually pretty easy to rack up and I love using them for stays at their Intercontinental properties, but this promotion sucks. That’s OK though, because I could use more Marriott and SPG points, which it looks like I’ll be doing a lot of this summer.

    I really like IHG too. Easy to rack up more points and easy to use. We’ve traveled through Germany and stayed at IHG properties and we were extremely satisfied.
    And as part of the Summer Reel promo were going to a rooftop movie premiere and reception overlooking the city. So I suppose there’s more to it than a lottery.

    Keep up the good work IHG! You’ve won over this former Marriott Rewards member.
