IHG Rewards Club Set Your Sights Promotion Spring 2015

IHG Rewards Club members can earn 50,000 bonus points or more by completing various offers across IHG’s all brands.

The registration for this offer will be open here STARTING TOMORROW.

Note that I will have another post up tomorrow after the registration has gone live where readers can post their offers.

Here’s the press release from IHG:

ATLANTA (Dec. 15, 2014) – InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) today announces its ‘Set Your Sights’ promotion offering IHG® Rewards Club members the opportunity to earn at least 50,000 bonus IHG Rewards Club points.

The ‘Set Your Sights’ promotion is available to  all IHG Rewards Club members worldwide and is a great opportunity to kick start the new year with bonus offers for activity across IHG’s nine  hotel brands. The more offers members complete, the more rewards they can earn.

Registration for the promotion begins on Dec. 15 2014 here. The campaign book- and-stay period starts on Jan. 1, 2015. Once registered, IHG Rewards Club members can begin earning their rewards through April 30, 2015.

Bruce Lahood, vice president, Global Loyalty Consumer Marketing, IHG said: “What better way to start 2015 than to enjoy a bonus point promotion that recognizes our loyal members and gives them the ability to earn and redeem across a wide range of products and services. From free nights at IHG’s hotels worldwide to electronics, gift cards and more, all available through our new IHG Rewards Club online catalog.”

IHG Rewards Club is the world’s first and largest hotel loyalty program. It offers advantages that no other hotel company can match including; free guest Internet for all IHG Rewards Club members worldwide across the IHG brand family, value-priced Reward Nights with less restrictions, no blackout dates on Reward Nights, no cancellation penalties – and now, with the wide breadth of offerings in the new IHG Rewards Club Catalog, members can truly personalize their rewards to best suit their needs.

IHG is one of the world’s leading hotel companies, with over 4,700 hotels around the world and a family of nine trusted hotel brands from an award-winning InterContinental resort to a city-center Holiday Inn hotel. IHG’s scale and diversity means that its hotels can meet its guests’ needs whatever the occasion – whether an overnight getaway, a business trip, a family celebration or an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Register here for the ‘Set Your Sights’ promotion.  Guests can sign up for IHG Rewards Club by visiting www.ihgrewardsclub.com, calling the IHG Rewards Club Customer Care Cener, downloading the IHG App or by inquiring at the front desk of any of the more than 4,700 IHG hotels worldwide.

Seems that this is probably another variant Big Win/Into The Nights/Crack The Case etc. I just truly hope that there isn’t a similar mess with this offer than with the two similar promotions this year.

It is interesting to find out tomorrow exactly what the options are and the number of bonus points each one of us can earn.

I don’t have high hopes…my Into the Nights promotion tracker still hasn’t updated for 6 weeks…what a failure.

    • Mine was stuck for a very long time as well. Then it fixed itself.

The Into The Nights was such a weird promo. Nowhere did they post information about how to choose between the 2 Nights or the 50,000 points. (who on earth would ever choose 50K points vs. 2 free nights at any IHG property??) I completed my Into the Nights promotion this weekend (it helped that because I hadn’t used IGH often due to my switching to Marriot, they gave me one of the easy to obtain ‘sweetheart’ offers that many non-loyal IHG’ers seem to have got vs. the hard to complete offers for the loyal IHG’ers.)
I just recieved my offer for the new promotion, and it seems like a complete whiff to me. To get only 50,000 points I’d have to jump through a bunch of hurdles that just aren’t worth it. In order to get the 50K points, I’d HAVE to apply for the credit card. No thanks … To stay 8 times at an IHG property would get me only 2,000 points. Then, I’d have to do 2 full weekend stays for 1600 points (which would have to be a 2 night stay that includes a Sat. or Sun.) Booking and completing 5 stays using the IHG app for 2,000 points is the only one that wouldn’t be a huge deal.
Seems like they decide to challenge their frequent stayers a bit harder for promos than the sclubbs who stay once or twice a year. Back to Marriott this next promo period, unless Starwoods comes up with something better than double points after the 3rd stay like last quarter. Blah.

I am quite please with my scheme as I think I will achieve all 7 of 7 sections.

    FYI Mine include:
1000 for redeeming my reward points.
    3600 for the App.
    22,200 for 21 stays.
6000 for 4 consecutive nights at the same hotel.
4800 for 4 different hotel types (CP, HIX, HI, Indigo).
2300 after spending $430 (does this track my £ spending instead?).
2300 using my IHG Black Visa card.

    Plus: 42,000 if I complete all 7 of 7.

This is good for me as I use the app and also my visa a lot and I can stay 4 nights at a time in a CP. Im not sure how the $430 will work as I do most of my in hotel spending in the UK so I hope this is tracked.

All in all, I think i can achieve this by April and the 84,200 will come in very useful in reducing my family’s trans atlantic flight tickets with Avious in 2016.

I have one that says Book 2 stay(s) with the IHG® App and earn 4,800 bonus points. can that be points or rewards night reservations? because I have a reservation with points it will be great if it works.

I guess I screwed myself by completing the last promotion (Which I am still unsure how I choose 2 free nights vs. 50,000 points) because this promotion gave me utterly ridiculous challenges. I have to apply for a credit card (no thanks), download the IHG App (which I already have) and book 9 stays on it, stay 4 weekend stays, etc. Literally, there is not one easy challenge on the whole list! IHG really needs to give this challenge crap a rest and go back to the easy promotions. I am doing everything I can to stay at Marriott because at least they have straightforward double points. SPG is my favorite chain but the whole double points after the 3rd stay thing is pretty lame. Usually it is hard for me to find an SPG hotel much less 3 in a row. I honestly don’t know what IHG is thinking with these promos. It’s literally driving my business away.
