American Airlines has launched new Gold, Platinum & Executive Platinum status targeted fast track offers.

You have until October 9, 2015 (after registering by July 7) to earn set number of elite qualifying points or miles to keep the status through February 28, 2017.

Note that flights on British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qantas and US Airways also qualify for the challenge.

American Airlines used to do quite a few of these fast track offers and sometimes matched the UA or Delta status without any flight requirements.

This is an excellent offer if you received and going to take some flights within the 90 day period.

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

Upon reaching the required AAdvantage elite-qualifying miles or points threshold, your AAdvantage elite status membership benefits will be take effect immediately and will be valid through February 28, 2017. Your new membership credentials will be mailed to you within four to six weeks after qualification. Qualification is based on AAdvantage elite-qualifying miles or points earned on eligible, purchased, published fare tickets on select airlines between the date you register and October 9, 2015. Select each airline name to learn more about qualifying fares for that carrier: American Airlines, American Eagle® service, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qantas, US Airways, US Airways Express® service and US Airways Shuttle® service. Registration prior to travel and before 11:59 pm on July 7, 2015, is required. Travel completed prior to registration will not count toward this promotion. Bonus elite-qualifying points earned through other promotions do not count towards this offer. You must requalify for AAdvantage elite status membership annually.
