Last Call for getting SkyTeam Elite Plus status via Alitalia MilleMiglia status match that comes to an end on January 31, 2016.
Alitalia launched a very popular status match last year for their Freccia Alata Club and Frecciala Alata Plus Club (both SkyTeam Elite Plus) that was supposed to end on December 31. Alitalia has extended the match until the end of this month.
You can access Alitalia’s webpage for this match here.
Note that the match page states that the new status would be only valid through March 2016. I and many others received the match through March 2017, however.
We have extensively covered this status match in 2015 on the posts that you can find here, here, here, here and here. If you are planning to do the match now, it would make sense to read through the previous articles as well.

I matched my British Airways Gold status and received the Freccia Alata Plus Club status from Alitalia valid through 03/2017. I already managed to use the status on economy Air Europa flight for lounge access within Spain and business class check in.
You never know what other status match opportunities there could be in 2016. It makes sense to get your Alitalia MilleMiglia status if you have status with Oneworld or Star Alliance airline.
It would really surprise me if they would only match through March 2016. I would imagine that the matches processed now would have the status through March 2017.
