IHG Rewards Club is about to launch its Advisors panel and sent out mass emails this morning with non-working links and followed later in the day with correct one.
IHG Rewards Club has been sending out these invitations to “members” that have never even set their foot at an IHG property. Usually companies target their most frequent guests with these online panels.
Most of the hotel loyalty programs have online panels including Marriott, Hyatt and Starwood. You can usually earn some points for participating to surveys that they send out and there could be an online forum too to provide feedback.
I really don’t see a point (pun intended) for IHG Rewards Club to send out Advisors panel invitation emails to millions of members of which some (if not most) have not had stays at their properties for a while.
They certainly don’t need more than few hundred up to a thousand replies for survey results to be statistically significant if the sample is representative.
