Thanks for the info. One quick question: I keep getting a warning email noting that “2xxx of your miles expire on 31.03.2016”. Is there any easy/quick way to save this miles? I am not very familiar with LH M&M program.

Note: Jumeirah hotel also seems to give away LH 2K miles for a stay.

    • You could always convert 2,000 points to 40 euro Accor voucher or 1,000 miles with most programs (2,000 with Iberia Avios).

oh sorry, some misunderstanding. I mean, I am getting that warning msg from LH. Usually I am not collecting Accor points so for the moment can’t convert into LH miles. Buying a small amount of LH miles directly from LH could be an option? Or I guess I can convert other major hotel points (e.g. Marriott, IHG, Hilton) to LH to prevent this expiration but I don’t think it’d be a good value though.

Btw what I don’t understand/am confused is that while I have around 80K LH miles in the account, how is it possible this “specific” small amount of miles (around 2K) as part of 80K miles is going to expire???

        • Sorry. It was my misunderstanding. I will ask Sebastian to reply because he is familiar with the Miles&More.

          • Leo

My question is how will that contribute to Accor status?? Will it earn 3000 points and then that 3k points going to be converted to 1.5k miles or what? I also don’t want all my Accor points to be converted.

        • Hi there, sorry but you can’t keep LH miles from expiring unless you obtain FTL Status or have on of their credit cards. Miles expire in the quarter following 36 months after collection date. So maybe you have collected these 2K during that quarter 3 years ago.

What would happen if I partially pay my stay with points? Provided I set my earning preference to M&M, and e.g. pay €80 plus 4,000 points, would I still be eligible for the Lufthansa 500 points (and hence the triple points under this promotion)?

  • Denis D

I wanted to take a part, however with Accor I prefer to screenshot all T&C, landing pages and registration confirmations. I can’t find neither at the landing page of that promo or an Accor website a piece of info confirming min of 500 M&M miles per stay.
    – a landing page says X3 miles and nothing about 500 miles minimum
    – T&C doesn’t even say anything about triple miles

How does it work? Even when you switch auto conversion to M&M miles it says only your points will automatically be converted to M&M miles which I assume if you earn 600 points for your stay they will be converted to 300 M&M miles, nope?

I would appreciate if you can comment/share your experience with Accor/M&M.
