United Airlines 25% Marriott Rewards To MileagePlus Miles Conversion Bonus Ends March 31, 2016

United Airlines has launched a bonus for converting Marriott Rewards points to MileagePlus miles by March 31, 2016.

United Airlines Marriot Rewards Points To MileagePlus Miles Conversion Bonus

You can get 25% conversion bonus that is maxed at 25,000 miles. This offer requires registrations.

You can access and register for this offer on United’s website here.

Here is Marriott’s web page for points to miles conversions and here for the Travel Packages.

It doesn’t make any sense to convert point to miles. It does, however, make sense to issue Travel Package award at 120,000 miles level with one week (7 nights) award at category 1 – 5 hotels for 270,000 Marriott Rewards points.

This would earn you 120,000 miles + RewardsPlus 10% conversion bonus of 12,000 miles + 25,000 conversion bonus from this current offer = total of 157,000 MileagePlus miles.

The hotel award is valid for a year and can be reissued at least one time (I have extended the validity more than once). You can also later up the category 1 – 5 hotel award to other categories by paying the difference in points.

Conclusion

This is actually a decent offer and I will likely issue at least one Travel Package and get the 157K United MileagePlus miles in the process.

I have two hotel awards Travel Packages that I need to use though. Sometimes difficult to find a place where one would like to spend a week, although nothing stops you from using it for shorter stays and forfeiting rest of the nights.
