Hilton Honors made an announcement back in February (read more here) about changes to the program this year and one of those was the ability to extend Diamond status one time.
Members that haven’t been able to requalify for Diamond status can request the status extended by a year (certain limitations apply that are listed below) but only one-time.
You can access Hilton Honors here.
Here are the requirements for extending the Diamond status:
- Must currently be a Diamond Member, have earned Diamond status for at least 3 years, but the years do not need to be consecutive.
- AND Have completed stays totaling at least 250 nights, paid or reward OR Have accumulated 500,000 Base Points or more since joining Hilton Honors.
There are times when travel may drop for an unexpected reason and it is good that Hilton Honors is willing to extend the status one time by a year.
Marriott Rewards allows members to buy back their status using points (read more here) and often renews the status without having met the criteria for those that have held it for few years.
If you would like to know the total number of nights or base points earned, you need to contact Hilton Honors either by phone or email.
