Hilton announced their Tru (budget) brand early 2016 (read more here) and Tapestry Collection back in January (read more here). Tru is a kind of budget brand and Tapestry Collection is a soft brand for independent hotels that tap into Hilton’s distribution and loyalty programs.
Now, Hilton Honors has confirmed the number of points earned at these two brands and what benefits elite members can expect.
You can access Hilton Honors here.
Members earn 10 points per USD on room rate and eligible incidentals
Diamond benefits at Tapestry Collection:
– 1,000 bonus points
– Continental breakfast
Members earn 5 points per USD on room rate ONLY.
Diamond benefits at Tru:
– Snack & water OR 250 bonus points
The Tapestry Collection point earnings and Diamond benefits are inline what one expects when staying at Hilton affiliated hotels.
The Tru earnings, however, are so low that why bother unless there is a bonus points promotion around. Home2 Suites is the other Hilton brand where members earn this reduced rate of 5 points per USD.
Remember that members only earn points for the room rate at Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites & Home2 suites in addition to the Tru.
