Conclusion

We will have a separate post up here on LoyaltyLobby once IHG has made these hotels available for bookings on Monday.

The Crowne Plaza Nagasaki was under renovations when I was visiting the city last week. It is the perfect place if someone wants to visit the atomic bomb memorial (the US dropped the second bomb here after Hiroshima in August 1945).

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza Vilnius also, which is within walking distance from the city center. This hotel tends to be on PointBreaks frequently.

This may be the very first time there are no InterContinental hotels on the list.

very disappointing. worst point breaks ever.

  • Sherry

Disappointing list for North American hotels.
Highly recommend St John’s, NL for the George Street Festival (if there is availability for the last week of July).

    • I actually stopped in St Johns the other year for 12 hours when I took WestJet from Toronto to Dublin. Need to go back one day and stay for couple of nights.

Do you have data points of exactly what time the reservation opens on Monday from the past? Thanks!

    • Anywhere from 8AM to 2PM ET. We will have a post up once they have been made available for bookings on Monday.

Based on past experience the time varies for each hotel.

  • YoLaViajera

Weak list. Has been bad for years.

  • tmd

Weak is right! Never seen such few options and small market locations in the US ever.

Worst list ever seen for Europe. Either low quality hotels or low season areas. They downgrade the offer to non existent. The goal must be to give away capacity they can’t sell otherwise as nobody wants it.

I like this list. Vilnius, Porto, Madrid, Berlin, Budapest – good list for Europe. also Kuala Lumpur. everything good for me.

  • toxicair8

None in the Middle East ! Very poor for the UK as well !

First list in a long stretch that I’m going to pass on in it’s entirety. The locations of these properties are mostly awful – Vilnius, Porto & Budapest look serviceable. Intrigued to see a Berlin property, but it’s waaaay out there and Berlin has tons of affordable options right in the middle of town. The Madrid property looks to be more of a run down airport hotel – avoid.
