Virgin Atlantic has launched a status match program to Flying Club Silver and Gold status from select competing programs.
You need to show enough activity on city pairs that are operated by Virgin Atlantic and have one booking made on the airline to be considered per the T&Cs.

So, you need to have enough flights taken on another carrier with city pairs that are also operated by Virgin Atlantic to qualify for their Silver or Gold status to qualify under this offer?
Having one booking in either economy or premium cabin is not an issue (you can always book a fully refundable fare just in case and cancel it if things don’t work out as planned or your plans change).
Virgin Atlantic could be an option for some London based fliers that mainly fly on routes that Virgin Atlantic operates.

To qualify for this offer, you must already be a member of Flying Club or enrol in the Flying Club programme online or via our Customer Centre.
Your Flying Club Gold or Silver membership will be valid from 12 months from the date the account is upgraded.
Gold members will need to earn 1,000 tier points in the membership period to retain Gold status.
Silver members will need to earn 400 tier points in the membership period to retain Silver status.
This offer cannot be transferred to any other traveller.
This offer is not applicable for SkyMiles Diamond and Medallion members.
