Air New Zealand has done it again and just presented their new safety video titled “Fantastical Journey” and this time it’s starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Katie Holmes.
Air New Zealand is known for fun safety videos such as the previous Men In Black themed one.
The video which will be shown on board Air New Zealand flights has been uploaded on the airlines YouTube Channel today.
Getting Passengers to pay attention to safety demonstrations has always been a challenge for airlines, in particular frequent flyer tune of during the often dull and repetitive demos.
This video is certainly refreshing. You can access it on the Air NZ Youtube channel:
The video is roughly 4 minutes long in total.
I like the calm background music that makes this much easier to watch than the previous MIB one which was a bit over the top after watching it twice.
This is a refreshing and fun video, very well done marketing campaign. I’d say it really depends on how long it will be showing on the plane because these themed videos can be a bit annoying if someone doesn’t like the theme or gets bored of it, then having to watch it again and again might be a bit much (one such example would be the FC Barcelona safety video Qatar Airways uses for ages now).
