My Lifetime Starwood Map (Show Us Yours!)

After a few mishaps, my lifetime SPG lifetime Platinum kit finally arrived this week with the map showing all the places I have stayed with the chain.

SPG Lifetime Map

It seems that the map doesn’t show locations with hotels that have exited the Starwood system such as Kamp in Helsinki and Palace hotel in Copenhagen (I have stayed at these two for sure and no dots). Design Hotel stays are not registering either.

You can access Starwood’s page for Lifetime status here.

It would be great if readers that have reached SPG lifetime Platinum status would post their maps!

Conclusion

This is a walk down memory lane for me. I will see the actual package on Friday in Reykjavik when a friend of mine will bring it to me. We are having a get-together in Iceland with bunch of people.

I believe that a map like this is a good idea. Surely it can not be that expensive for SPG to produce and you can spend a few moments to reflect where you have been and where you need to go. As you can see, Africa is a big hole for me.

Does the SPG lifetime count include stays under the old Sheraton Club and Westin Premier programs or just since the formation of the Preferred Guest? I suspect those of us who have SPG lifetime status (Platinum or Gold) are curious as to how Marriott will recognize it given their requirements and tiers are quite different from Starwood’s.

John & Kay – your maps look good.
I visit SPG property probably once every 5 years (I’m Hyatt & Hilton Diamond).
Closest I’ve seen elsewhere is the BA EC world map feature showing past flight destinations.

I’ve 12 stays to renew my Plat this year (was downgraded to Gold(wish that they’d provide b’fast though) due to not enough stays last year), but am only 30 nights away from LT Plat. Which after the 12 stays, would be easily (you think) achievable with 3 planned stays of 5 nights each. I’ll save the last 3 nights the end of the year.
