Here’s an email that Ambassador service center had sent to the reader:

I am sorry to inform you that the promotion is no longer active. It has ended last 01 August 2017 that is why it is no longer showing on your end.

Seems that this information was incorrect:

IHG Rewards Club OTA Book Direct 2017

The promo has returned to My Offer Status (access here) with December 31, 2017, expiry date.

Conclusion

Not sure what to think of this. The promo originally did have December 31, 2017, expiry date. Obviously someone at the IHG’s end did change that, at least temporary, to August 1. The customer service agents then in the Philippines read what their screens said that the promo ended on August 1st.

Someone changed the promo expiry date back to the original date of December 31, 2017. If you had stays that posted  over the period when the promo was expired the stays likely didn’t track towards the offer and you do need to contact Manila and have them fix it for you.
