Choice Hotels has now launched their Choice Privileges fall promotion that is 5,000 to 8,000 points for every two stays between August 31 – November 11, 2017.

Members will earn minimum of 5,000 and maximum of 8,000 bonus points for every two stays depending of the base points earned for the stays. This (8,000) is enough to redeem for a free night award at more than 1,000 hotels.

5. How can I book as a corporate traveler?

As a corporate traveler, you can book your stays through your corporate booking system, GDS, or with a travel agent to qualify. However, stays booked with the SEGEN and SRTLG rate codes do not qualify for promotional bonus points.

6. What is considered a “stay”?

As a member, you must complete “two separate qualifying stays.”

  • “Stay” = 1+ consecutive nights at all Choice Hotels.

NOTE: Consecutive nights at one hotel only count as one stay, regardless of check-ins or check-outs.

7. What is a ‘qualifying rate’?

The same rates that are always eligible for Choice Privileges points are eligible for this promotion.

You earn Choice Privileges points for individual travel on the following rates:

Best Available Rate, Advance Purchase, Corporate, VIP and Net Preferred, Government/Military, Travelers’ Discount, AAA/CAA, PSCIEN, Package Rates, Small Organization Savings/Significant Savings, Senior Rate, Sports Rate, CPSA, Preferred Customer Savings Rate, Savings at Work, negotiated rates (N) and select LSRPs (select locally negotiated rate plans).

The following rates are not eligible for Choice Privileges points:

Rooms booked at rates below $40 per night, complimentary rooms, rooms paid for as part of a convention or meeting, or rooms booked through a travel agent or third party online retailer as part of pre-paid wholesale rates, wholesale packages or senior tours.

8. How many points am I awarded after each stay?

After every second qualifying stay, you will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 points and a maximum of 8,000 bonus points, depending on how many base points were earned from your two (2) separate qualifying stays. These bonus points will allow redemption for a future free night at the 8,000 point reward night level at over 1,000 hotels worldwide. A free night at most Choice Privileges locations requires more than 8,000 points.

9. How many times can i receive the free night bonus?

You can earn an unlimited number of bonuses! After you register, you’ll earn points for a future free night after every two separate qualifying stays.

10. Do I have to redeem my bonus points earned from this promotion for a free night?

11. When will the bonus points post to my account?

Please allow 72 hours from check-out for your points to post. Points from stays at international locations can take longer to post – please allow up to 45 days.

12. If I’m earning Airline Miles or Amtrak Guest Rewards instead of points, am I still eligible for the bonus?

No, you must set your earning preference to Choice Privileges points in order to participate in this promotion and receive your free night.

Please note: Your earning preference will remain set to Choice Privileges points after the promotion has ended. If you would like to revert to earning Airline Miles or Amtrak Guest Rewards, you must reset your preference in your online account.

13. Are Vacation Rental stays included in the promotion?

No, stays booked at a Vacation Rental property currently do not qualify for the promotional bonus. However, all vacation rental stays are eligible for earning Choice Privileges points.

14. Are international stays included in the promotion?

Yes, stays at all hotels included in the Choice Privileges program will count towards the promotion. However, please note, points from stays at international locations can take longer to post – please allow up to 45 days.

15. When do my Choice Privileges points expire?

All qualifying activity keeps your points active for 18 additional months, from the first day of the month after your activity is completed through the 18th month of inactivity, at 12:00 am PST. A qualifying activity is based on when points post or are removed from your account.

16. What is considered ‘qualifying activity’ to keep my points?

To remain active in the program, you must have at least one of the following activities every 18 consecutive calendar months:

  • Qualifying point-eligible stay (earning points, miles, or Amtrak Guest Rewards points)
  • Redeeming Choice Privileges points (free nights, gift cards, etc.)
  • Earning points with the Choice Privileges Visa® card (US members only)
  • Purchasing points
  • Referring a Friend*

*The Refer-a-Friend option awards points to your account when a friend enrolls in the Choice Privileges Rewards Program and completes a point-eligible stay. The point forfeiture date will be based on the date the points post to your account, not on the date of the referral.

17. What is the Advanced Purchase Rate?

Advance Purchase Rate (“Pay Now and Save”) means that the reservation must be made on ChoiceHotels.com using your Choice Privileges number and must be made at least 7, 14, 21 or 30 days in advance, which will vary based on the hotel for which a reservation is being made. The rate starts at 15% off Best Available Rate, is non-cancellable, non-changeable and non-refundable. Your credit card will be charged for the total reservation amount within 24-48 hours of booking.
