Alaska Airlines has launched double Mileage Plan miles campaign for select direct flights from the west coast between September 1 – February 28, 2018.

Conclusion

Nice promotion for those that use Alaska Airlines from California and Portland. Could be that there is bit of a competition brewing up between Alaska and other airlines.

Interesting to see if other airlines (looking at Southwest) will offer similar bonus miles miles promotions to counter Alaska.

Qualifying nonstop destinations from San Diego (SAN) are Omaha (OMA), Austin (AUS), Albuquerque (ABQ), Minneapolis (MSP), Kansas City (MCI), St Louis (STL), Mexico City (MEX), Baltimore (BWI), Sacramento (SMF), San Jose (SJC), and San Francisco (SFO). Qualifying nonstop destinations from Portland (PDX) are Philadelphia (PHL), Milwaukee (MKE), Baltimore (BWI), Albuquerque (ABQ), Detroit (DTW), and New York – JFK (JFK). Flights must be marketed by Alaska Airlines or Virgin America and operated by Alaska Airlines, Virgin America, Horizon Air, or SkyWest. Not valid on free or award travel.
