Conclusion

I was in Phu Quoc earlier this year and the island is going through some serious development at the moment. The JW Marriott has opened opened (stayed there) and InterContinental should open in November (let’s see).

There are charter flights from Europe and scheduled flights from China. Connections are easy from Ho Chi Minh City. Good that there are now connection option from Bangkok as well.

There should be special visa-waiver for tourist arriving direct to Phu Quoc (check) that would allow them to stay longer.

Bangkok Airways usually codeshares its flights with number of airlines. I would assume that this would be the case with this Phu Quoc flight too.
