Today’s Airfare of the day goes to Copa Airlines Business Restricted fares between Montevideo and Los Angeles.
Copa ConnectMiles has started to sell miles to its program members and is offering a 50% bonus for purchases made between February 6 – March 31, 2017.
Copa used to use Continental’s frequent flier program (was partly owned by the airline too) and later United’s MileagePlus. Copa launched their own program back in 2015 (read more here).
Copa, which parted with the MileagePlus and launched its ConnectMiles program earlier this year, has launched up to 150,000 bonus miles promotion.
You can earn up to 150,000 bonus ConnectMiles for flying select destinations between October 1 – March 31, 2016.
Copa Airlines has been using United MileagePlus as its frequent flier program due to Continental owning part of the airline in the past.
United Airlines announced last year that Copa Airlines would be launching its own frequent flier program in June and the partnership beyond Star Alliance would be coming to an end (read more here).
United Airlines Double MileagePlus Miles For Copa Flights To/From Campinas (Brazil) December 10 – January 10, 2015
Although Copa’s use of United’s MileagePlus is coming to an end starting on July 1, 2015 (read more here), there is a new promo for double miles to/from Campinas.
The offer is valid for tickets issued between November 25 and January 10, 2015, for flights taken December 10 to January 10, 2015.

Beyond using my LifeMiles for getting from Bangkok to Buenos Aires (access the piece here), it did not usually make any sense to use miles from Oneworld or Star Alliance programs for travel within South/Central America. It has always been a better deal to purchase paid tickets and use the allowed stopovers and other flexibilities.

All you need to do is to register for this offer and take one paid flight between August 1 – September 30, 2014, that has been ticketed after July 1 qualify for this offer.
Copa Airlines that uses MileagePlus as its frequent flier program, due to being party owned by Continental in the past, has made a targeted offer for Silver status and 5,000 bonus miles after flying six segments.
This offer is valid for tickets purchased and flown on Copa or Copa Columbia between February 1 and March 31, 2014.
