The registration for linking your SPG and Delta SkyMiles accounts to benefit of the Crossover Rewards is now open at either SPG’s website here or Delta’s website here. You only have to link your accounts once. If you have Delta flights coming in on early March or SPG stays, you should register now to start earning extra SkyMiles and Starpoints.

When I tried to link my accounts on SPG’s website, I got the following error message quite a few times.

Westin Heavenly In-Flight Bedding Coming To Delta’s BusinessElite

Delta and Starwood are announcing later today their partnership of bringing Westin Heavenly In-Flight Bedding to BusinessElite flights starting this summer. There was interesting article on NY Times about this that you can access here.

delta-westin-nytimes

This is likely part of the greater partnership between Starwood and Delta that started with the Crossover Rewards announcement earlier this month. I first broke the story about this new type of partnership with Delta and Starwood on February 5. You can read more about Crossover Rewards here that is starting on March 1.

Quadruple Delta SkyMiles At Accor Hotels

Le Club Accorhotels has a promotion for quadruple (4x) Delta SkyMiles for stays worldwide between February 5 and April 15, 2013. There is also an odder for some discount, breakfast and or upgrade for Sofitel hotels in United States and for Novotel hotels in Canada. You can access this offer here.

There is no need to register for this offer but you need to have your Le Club Accorhotels account set to convert your hotel points directly to Delta SkyMiles. There is a reservation deadline of February 28, 2013. I am not sure if this is only for the possible discount or for the quadruple miles as well. The terms and conditions refer to participating hotels, but the graphics indicate that this offer would be valid practically at all Accor hotels.

Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) and Delta announced today the Crossover Rewards that SPG elite members can take advantage of when flying on Delta and Delta Medallion benefits when staying at Starwood hotels. SPG Gold and Platinum Benefits on Delta

SPG Crossover Rewards: SPG Platinum & Gold Benefits on Delta

Couple of weeks ago, I wrote about SPG Crossover Rewards that were coming this spring. I had an educated guess that it would have something to do with an airline and/or car rental company.

I have now made an updated post about this program after the official launch.

The SPG PLT Delta flight upgrade benefit that was included on the version of the terms and conditions that I had access to, is not not included in the final version.

Edit (09/12): The upgrade benefit for SPG Platinum members has now been included on the program.

Now, I have more information about this product. Starwood Preferred Guest Gold and Platinum members will receive certain benefits on Delta marketed and operated flights such as Starpoints based on the spend, upgrades, priority boarding, and waived checked bag fees.

Delta Plugs Their Website – No Longer Access to Mosaic Info

Yesterday, I wrote about Delta’s website hack that would have allowed you to check your Experian Mosaic classification and some of the parameters Delta had on file about you.

As I predicted, Delta has now closed this hole on their website and has issued the following statement regarding the issue:

Check Your Delta SkyMiles Customer Segmentation Info

It is not news that companies we use can know a lot about us, but they don’t usually make accessing this information easy. You can now check, how Delta segments you and what your Mosaic consumer lifestyle segmentation is.

Here’s what you need to do.

1. Log into you SkyMiles account

2. Plug the following URL (https://www.delta.com/databroker/bcdata.action) to the same browser and copy the text

3. Copy/paste it to your favorite text application

Delta SkyMiles Medallion Qualification Changes

Yesterday, I wrote about website update at Delta.com that had unveiled a day early the planned changes to the SkyMiles program on the earning and qualification side. Delta took the information down from the website very fast.

Now, Delta has issued a press release about the change and has the website running with the info about this change that you can access here.

Delta – Oops Did It Again! Program Changes Posted on Delta.com & Then Removed

In March 2012, I wrote about coming changes to Delta’s SkyMile program. I was going to update the article at some point, but the deployment of the changes has been delayed by Delta many times.

delta-changes

UPDATE: We should learn more about these Delta changes at 9AM EST on Thursday unless there is last minute change in plans.

Now, Delta mistakenly or on purpose put up some program change information on Delta.com and shortly removed it. FlyerTalk member DLroads was able to copy/paste the information that Delta had changed and that now has been removed. There is a lively discussion on FlyerTalk about this forthcoming change and, if you are delta flier, you should certainly check it out.
