Hilton Honors has generous Gold & Diamond status match program that grants status first for 90 days during which the member must complete set number of stays to extend the status through March 2019.

Starwood lost the Kamp in Helsinki and the Le Meridien hotel in Copenhagen few years back. There is only one Hilton in Sweden and now none in Denmark or Norway but two in Iceland. Hilton Honors has continued to offer the Gold and Diamond status match program in 2017 and now has also moved the status expiry date to March 2019 (and now updated the website to reflect this).
