Emirates has announced a codeshare and frequent flier partner with Jetstar, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Qantas with whom Emirates started to cooperate in 2013.


Emirates will codeshare 27 routes and Skywards members can redeem miles on all Jetstar operated services starting at 7,025 miles one-way starting on March 1, 2014. [click to continue...]

Emirates and Virgin America announced frequent flier partnership yesterday. Emirates Skywards can earn and redeem miles on Virgin America flights and vice versa.

Earlier this week, Emirates briefly had Virgin America on its Skywards partner airline list. The airline was deleted from the partner list the following day, however.


Emirates and Virgin America have had interline agreement in place since 2010. Interline agreement merely means that websites and travel agents can sell tickets that have flights on both airlines and that luggage can be checked through. [click to continue...]

Emirates has a Business Rewards program for rewarding companies for their employee spend on the airline. This is geared towards SME’s (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) that don’t generate enough activity to have their own corporate discount contract.

Emirates had a record fiscal year and released its annual statement yesterday. The groups profit rose 34% to $845 million of total revenue of $21.2 billion. You can access the Emirates web page for this information here.
