StarAlliance (Employee) Reference Guide 2011 – Very Useful For All StarAlliance Fliers As Well.

StarAlliance is my personal favorite of the three major airline alliances that we have today. Sometimes, however, it is bit difficult to navigate through all the different benefits that one gets depending whether flying economy, business, or first class and what if any benefits the passenger might get for having StarAlliance Silver or Gold status.

StarAlliance Reference Guide 2011

This is pretty much the guide that contains everything that passengers should know as well. Couple of times I have had some problems with lounge access but the issue has been resolved when I have requested the lounge attendant to refer to their supervisor or to this guide.

Sometimes it is bit of a challenge to find out what StarAlliance lounges there are.  At some airports there might be three or four where the business/first class passenger or StarAlliance Gold member has access to. On this reference guide they have clear terminal maps showing where the lounges are located at major international hubs.

They also have:

– Phone numbers for numerous countries laid down by the carrier

– Luggage information

– How the passengers should be accommodated in case of cancellation or irops

Overall this guide is very handy. If you are StarAlliance Gold member, I would probably spend some time and had a quick look. Not the worst idea to download it to a laptop as well.
