Bangkok Airways is offering all their routes at 50% off during this apparently yearly award sale. You can make the booking between May 10th to July 10th, 2012 for travel between May 25th and July 15th, 2012. This discount applies both oneway and return flights.
Bangkok Airways have had this same sale in previous years as well, although I am not sure if I could call this a yearly feature of the program.
The good thing is that they have reduced the price to half on all of their routes. I don’t see a point to redeem for their domestic flights in business class though. The seating is 2-2 instead of 3-3, but there is no alcoholic beverages served on domestic flights.
Most of the domestic destinations are quite cheap due to competition from Thai Airways and Air Asia. The Koh Samui is different, however, as the Bangkok Airways owns the airport. Redeeming for Koh Samui makes sense.
There are international routes like Siem Reap and Maldives that tend to be rather expensive due to lack off lights from Bangkok. Especially flying to Maldives for 200 points oneway in business is a very good deal.
I will most likely redeem for an oneway to Sieam Reap or return to Koh Samui before this promotion is over.
