Now, InterContinental Hotels Group is offering a $75 prepaid MasterCard for two night weekend stays (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) worldwide, but the offer is only valid for US residents. There is separate $50 offer for two night weekday stays going on as well.
You can use this offer 4 times to get up to $300 back. Note that you don’t have to spend the prepaid MasterCard at IHG, but you are free to spend it anywhere where prepaid MasterCard’s are accepted.
Here’s what you need to do:

2. Stay two weekend nights at IHG hotels by September 3rd
3. Fill out the rebate form electronically at http://www.ihgrebate.com/promocenter/ihg/
4. Mail the registration form, copy of the folio, and your rebate form to IHG’s rebate center
Like I have said it before, I am not a huge fan of mailing out rebate forms and then waiting for promised rebate checks/prepaid MasterCards to arrive. The rebate company that processes these is reliable and I haven’t had problems them with some other rebates.
And let’s face it, if there wouldn’t be all these hoops, the offer wouldn’t be this lucrative. IHG and the rebate processer surely know that there will be breakage at every point i.e. people forget to mail in the forms in time or actually use the prepaid MasterCard fully.

Eligibility: Registration for promotion is required in advance of stay. Registration can be completed at www.ihg.com/vacationpay. Valid email address is required for registration. Must register on or after May 14, 2012 and book and stay at any IHG brand hotel worldwide on or after May 14, 2012 through September 3, 2012. Registration must take place prior to the booking the stay. Open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who have attained the age of majority in the jurisdiction of their residence. A stay is defined as two consecutive weekend nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in/out. A stay is qualified when paying qualifying rates, which include most business and leisure rates. Qualifying Room Rates do not include the following reduced room rates: net wholesale individual and group rate, certain package rates, employee discount rate, friends and family rate, crew rate, special discounted contract rates, seasonal worker/crew rate, 50% travel club discount rate, travel industry discount rate, distressed passenger rate, Priority Club Rewards Nights/Airline Hotel Reward rate, Best Price Guarantee Free Reward rate, complimentary hotel stays and any other rates not defined as a Qualifying Room Rate. One$75 rebate ($75 Vacation Pay Prepaid MasterCard®) will be awarded on a qualifying minimum two-night weekend stay booked on or after May 14, 2012 at participating InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express® and Express by Holiday Inn™, Holiday Inn Club Vacations®, Holiday Inn Resorts, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites® hotels for U.S. resident stays worldwide between May 14, 2012 – September 3, 2012. Up to four qualified rebates awarded per household for stays during the promotional period. Limit one (1) rebate per qualifying rebate redemption form per weekend period.
Rebate documents required:
1) Copy of your Registration Confirmation, 2) Hotel folio with reservation number (bill) and 3) Rebate redemption form which can be found at www.ihgrebate.com along with copies of the other required documents as stated above to the address shown on the rebate redemption form. Rebate redemption form must be postmarked no later than October 3, 2012. Any rebate redemption form postmarked after October 3, 2012 will not be honored.
The Vacation Pay Prepaid MasterCard has no cash value and is not redeemable for cash or usable at any ATM. Terms and Conditions apply to the prepaid card and will be received with the prepaid MasterCard card.
