This hotel has quite a name – Pullman Bali Legian Nirwana. I have been to Bali few times but hadn’t stayed at any of the Accor chain hotels there previously. I have stayed at one Pullman hotel previously in Abidjan in Cote D’Ivoire.

Location
The location of this hotel may or may not work for you. It is entirely dependent what are you coming to Bali for. If you are looking for a serene environment with a semi private beach, this hotel is not for you. It is in a very commercial sector in Bali and close to nightlife venues and all the shops and cafes. The beach in front of the hotel is very popular but is not suitable for swimming.

The hotel is quite close to the airport but the traffic in Bali is horrendous at times. You can just take one of the fixed taxis from the airport that are reasonably priced. There are no metered taxes from the airport to hotels. You can take a metered taxi from the hotel to the airport, however.
Resort

It is located in a very busy area of Legian as I pointed out earlier. You have two pools in the property; an infitity pool on the roof with a view of the beach and a ground floor one. The hotel has a nice inner courtyard and the buildings are surrounding it.
Check In
I had made the reservation earlier in the morning for the same day arrival. I was coming from the bali Hyatt at Sanur and wanted to make to the hotel before the sunset.

To my surprise they had everything ready by the time we arrived to the hotel. An upgrade had been processed based on my Le Club Accorhotels Platinum status. The check in area had a separate desk where you could sit down for elite guests. Overall, the check in process was good.
Room 2226
This was some kind of deluxe room about 30% bigger than the normal ones based on the floor plan on the back of the door.

The room had a view of the courtyard from the balcony.

The bathroom was quite spacious.

The Platinum amenity was a fruit display that was over packed.

Overall, I liked the design of the room.
Pools

The property had two pools; one on the ground floor and one infinity pool on the rooftop.

The rooftop pool was more of my style and was better suited for adults.
Fitness Center

Fitness center was located on the ground floor and consisted of the usual array of cardio equipment and weights etc.
Check Out

One of the managers came to meet me during the check out. She was French (what a surprise) and had been working for other Accor properties in the Asia Pacific previously. She was eager to find out what I was thinking about the property overall.
Conclusion

I really liked the design of the hotel, although there was nothing Balinese in it. It was done in a modern not overly stuffy style. The location was perfect for my weekend activities of going out. Be aware of that this is in very busy and commercial part of Bali.
Most of the rooms at this hotel do not have any kind of sea view, but rather view of the hotel’s courtyard.
I wouldn’t hesitate of going back to this hotel if I am able to score a good deal during Accor’s frequent sales.
