This strike will affect other airlines operations in/out of Spain as well as the Iberia’s ground handling operations are affected too. The airline plans to operate 90% of its long haul flights. Most of the cancellations affect short haul operations.

You can access the list of canceled Iberia flight by date on Iberia’s website here. You can read the entire Reuters cable about this strike here.

Conclusion

There are going to be some layoffs within Iberia and its employees are protesting against these. Strikes are fairly usual in Europe and Iberia expects to operate most of its long haul flights regardless. I hope that the management and employees can find a solution soon.
