After I wrote about Rocketmiles hotel booking service two weeks ago (you can access that article here), I had representative from the company contacting me and sending a link for 1000 bonus miles booking bonus (in addition to the usual miles that you earn) for signing up the service and making first purchase using this link.
You can earn Delta, Hawaiian, United or American Airlines miles for the hotel bookings that you make on Rocketmiles website. The number of miles that you earn is usually a lot higher than booking directly with the hotel and paying a similar price.
The number of markets the service currently covers is rather limited and consists of 15 cities in the United States.
Above is the pricing display for a two night midweek stay in Los Angleles. As I pointed out in my original article about this service, these hotels that offer very high number of miles can be had a lot less than the headline price using opaque channels or LMTC (Last Minute Travel Club).
I think that this concept works for best if you a business traveler and can expense these stays. If you are a leisure one, you are likely better of by foregoing the miles and taking the cash savings upfront.
If you sign up using the bonus link above and make a purchase, you will also support LoyaltyLobby. We also get 1000 miles.
