Holiday Inn Express Or Ritz-Carlton – Wall Mounted Blow Dryer?

Thought that I had seen pretty much everything related to hotels, but apparently I have not.

Would you expect to have a wall mounted basic blow dryer at a Ritz-Carlton hotel? Is Ritz-Carlton turning to Holiday Inn Express?

It never ceases to amaze me, what some hotels might do to save few pennies. I cannot recall the last time that I would have seen a wall mounted blow dryer at a full service hotel or at a supposedly high end Marriott brand such as Ritz-Carlton.

Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Mega Kuningan has wall mounted blow driers in otherwise well furnished/designed rooms.

I tweeted a question to Ritz-Carlton about their brand standards. I really couldn’t believe that they would allow this kind of arrangement.

The direct message that they sent me led me to believe that it might be ok at resorts. Unfortunately, they unfollowed me after sending the DM, so couldn’t get them to clarify this issue.

I would like to get my hands on the Ritz-Carlton brand standard book that they have. I still cannot believe that this kind of “cheap” arrangement would be acceptable for city center Ritz-Carlton hotel.

Seems that Ritz-Carlton has some housekeeping issues at other location. My friend recently had vodka in Ritz-Carlton branded water bottle. You can read more about this incident here.
