Emirates had a record fiscal year and released its annual statement yesterday. The groups profit rose 34% to $845 million of total revenue of $21.2 billion. You can access the Emirates web page for this information here.
I don’t normally do pieces about financials of these companies, but I got a screen shot from a friend about internal Emirates communication that the employees had received about this record breaking profit announcement.
Seems that the groups profit should have risen 66% in order to meet the profit sharing target.
The target of 66% higher profit for profit sharing to kick in is a very high one considering the size of the group and the competitive pressures in the industry. Let’s hope that the employees are happy regardless.
