United Premier Qualification Requirement Changes In 2014 – PQD’s (Premier Qualifying Dollars) Are Coming!


This topic is likely beaten to death today on various travel forums, as was the when Delta made similar change to its SkyMiles program earlier this year.


United is now making PQD’s (Premier Qualifying Dollars) part of qualification requirements starting in 2014. You can continue qualifying for your 2014 status under the current program rules. You can access United’s website that tries to explain these changes here.

Qatar Airways July Easy Deals Are Out – Awards Up To 50% Off

Qatar Airways just launched their July 2013 Easy Deals. Every month Qatar Airways will have number of destinations at up to 50% off of the usual number of miles required both in economy and business class. You need to pay the usual taxes/fees and fuel surcharges. You can access this offer here.


You need to register for this promotion at least 24 hours prior making the award booking. The booking window is open from June 17 to July 31 for travel from July 1 to July 31, 2013.

American Airlines Back As Marriott Rewards Partner


Marriott and American Airlines put up a press release yesterday by announcing this “new” partnership that would allow Marriott Rewards members to earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles and convert Marriott Rewards points to miles.


But this partnership is not a new one. Marriott and American must have run into some contractual disputes back in 2010, as they announced back in April that year that their partnership would come to an end on June 30, 2010.

Best Western Rewards Promotion: Free Night Certificate After Three Stays


Best Western Rewards has a new promotion for a free night certificate after three stays between June 17 and August 18, 2013. You need to register for this promotion by July 28 and you can do it here.


The free night certificate that is valid until January 31, 2014, will be emailed to the member’s email address on file 2 to 3 weeks after qualifying for it and it is valid for Best Western branded hotels in the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean.
