PointsHound just sent out an email about the 500 bonus miles that they are offering per hotel booking through out the end of June.
There is no promotional web page for this offer, but you can see a banner on the website at the time of booking about the 500 bonus miles. You can access PointsHound’s website here.
Note that there are rates at number of hotel chains such as Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt, InterContinental Hotels Group etc. that are eligible for the stay/night credits and points on the hotels’ frequent guest programs, even when the booking is made through PointsHound.
Essentially, on these instances, you can double dip. Get miles via PointsHound and then hotel points (or airline miles) via hotel programs. You can easily see hotels that are eligible for double dipping. I have written about this feature of the PointsHound and you can access that article here.
This is nice bonus for one night stays and if you are booking one of the hotels that are eligible for double dipping and the hotels own websites don’t have lower pricing, there is nothing for you to lose really.
PointsHound is just rebating part of the travel agent commission that they get for these bookings that is usually 10% back to you in form of airline miles.
Note that if you sign up to PointsHound using the links above, LoyaltyLobby may get referral credit for it.
