Accor just sent out an email about their 48-hour sale for Asia-Pacific properties for stays between August 1 and September 15, 2013 (September 22 in South Korea). You can access Accor’s web page for this offer here.
This offer is based on the Best Unrestricted Rate and includes breakfast (and soft drinks in some hotels). The fact that this offer is based on the “Best Unrestricted Rate” automatically indicates that the rates are not going to be good.

Why bother advertising something as a “Take advantage of this very limited time offer. Unbeatable deals that you will not find anywhere else.” when the rates are nothing to write about?
Accor occasionally does have good sales, but these non-sales that are advertised as one, don’t make much sense.

This promotion is valid for reservations made by Accor Advantage Plus members, Le Club Accorhotels members, and Accor newsletter subscribers between 30th and 31st July 2013.
** Booking must be prepaid online at www.accorhotels.com, www.mercure.com, www.novotel.com, and www.ibis.com, for all stays:
– between 1st August 2013 and 22nd September 2013 at participating hotels in South Korea
– between 1st August 2013 and 15th September 2013 at participating hotels in the rest of Asia Pacific
Payment must be made online by credit card at the time of booking. Upon booking, if the “48 Hour Hotel Sale” rate is not available for all the dates requested, another public rate will be suggested automatically on the rate screen. Bookings cannot be changed, cancelled, exchanged or reimbursed, and cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or special offers.
* The 48 Hour Hotel Sale promotion is based on the Best Unrestricted Rate. This promotion includes bed, breakfasts for up to 2 persons per room per day and also, free flow of soft drinks for up to 2 persons at participating outlets in participating hotels, upon hotel’s discretion.
For participating hotels in Japan and participating Sofitel hotels, the 48 Hour Hotel Sale promotion includes soft drinks in the mini-bar per room per day, however, any soft drinks at any hotel outlet must be purchased.
