Starting on July 22, 2013, both Etihad Airways Guest members and Korean Air Skypass members have been able to both earn and redeem miles on each others flights.
Note that neither airline is offering elite qualifying miles, but only redeemable miles for each others flights. The Etihad partner page is not yet up on Korean Air’s website (press release is here), but you can access Etihad’s web page for Korean here.
There seems to be elite level benefits for Etihad Guest Gold and Gold Elite members that fly on Korean such as priority check in, lounge access and extra luggage allowance. These benefits must be reciprocal. Korean Air elite members can expect to receive similar benefits when flying on Etihad.

With both airlines, you have to be careful to make sure that the ticketed booking class is eligible for mileage credit. Most of the Korean Air’s discount fares won’t earn anything on Etihad’s program and Etihad’s lower fares only 50% of the flown miles, when credited to Skypass.
This is one of those outside of the alliance partnerships that the airlines have. Korean Air is also a partner of Emirates that is multitude the size of Etihad, which is the “National” airline of the UAE.
