Converting Le Club Accorhotels Points To Airline Miles (No Transfer Minimum)

Le Club Accorhotels usually requires you to have several thousand points before you can convert them to airlines miles, but there is a work around for this problem.

EDIT: Seems that not all the airline are enabled for auto-conversion.

Le Club Accorhotels has promotions with number of airlines that allow you to convert the points that you have in your account NOW and after each of your future stays automatically to the chosen partner without any transfer minimum.

It doesn’t matter that you sign up for the instant transfer with British Airways or Airberlin. You can choose the actual transfer partner later in the process.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Activate the auto conversion of points to miles

You can use the airberlin topbonus auto conversion offer (read more here) to have your points converted to miles after each of your stay. This will also convert all the points that you have in your account to airline miles.

You don’t have to choose to deposit these to airberlin’s topbonus program.

2. Log in to your Le Club Accorhotels account

You have to choose My Rewards and then Activate/Deactivate Automatic Conversion-option.

Then choose the option 2 and choose the program. You must fill your partner account number and your name and press finish. You won’t get any confirmation at this point. The website will only dump you back to the Le Club Accorhotels homepage.

3. Email confirmation

You will receive a confirmation that you have enabled the conversion of points to miles.

4. Points in your partner account

When I did this with Iberia Plus earlier this year, the points showed up in my account in just couple of days. I am not sure, how fast this process works with other partner airlines.

Why would you want to auto convert your points to miles?

Maybe you have end up with more than one account due to the Platinum sign up promotions that le Club Accorhotels has had. This is the easiest way to drain your old accounts of points.

Conclusion

Le Club Accorhotels often has promotion with airlines to from double to quintuples miles for auto crediting stays to airlines. They currently (at the time of writing this article) have such promotions with Avios, Iberia Plus, Airberlin and Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue.
