Hawaiian & China Airlines started codeshare agreement in past October. Now, the airlines will commence frequent flier partnership effective December 15, 2013.

China Airlines and Hawaiian frequent fliers can both earn and redeem on each others flights from that date.

Hawaiian flies three times a week from Honolulu to Taipei and China Airlines has nine weekly flights from Taipei to Honolulu of which seven are via Japan.

Hawaiian has already released the earning chart for China Airlines flights. Make sure that your booking class is eligible credit.

The number of Hawaiian miles required for award flights on China Airlines seems rather high.

It is not surprising that China Airlines and Hawaiian also decided to form a frequent flier partnership after codeshare one earlier in the year. Also, both will benefit from the additional lift at Taipei and Honolulu.

The number of miles required for awards on China Airlines flights does look very high, however.
