Virgin Atlantic is changing the conversion ratio of its Flying Club miles to Hilton HHonors on February 6, 2014.

You can currently convert 1 Flying Club miles to 2 Hilton HHonors points. On February 6, 2014 this will change to 1.5 Hilton HHonors points per 1 Virgin Flying Club miles. The devaluation of this conversion is 33%.

When Hilton HHonors had fixed miles Double Dip option (now gone – read more here), it made sense to double dip with Virgin Atlantic and later convert the miles back to Hilton HHonors points.

You can access Virgin Atlantic’s web page for Hilton HHonors partnership here.

If you were planning to convert Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles to Hilton HHonors points, the last day to do so at the current level is February 5, 2014.

Converting airline miles to hotel points is not usually possible and rarely makes sense. The 2 Hilton HHonors points to 1 Virgin Atlantic Flying Club mile has been a fair ratio.
