Etihad Guest announced their limited time status match offer on Friday (read more here) and then, three days later, changed the terms and conditions of it to only include UAE addresses (read more here).
Now, I can confirm that Etihad has already processed matches (well at least one) for those with an address outside of the UAE.
A LoyaltyLobby reader from Sweden sent me a screen-shot confirmation of his matched Etihad Guest account. He had sent Etihad Guest a copies of his Air France-KLM Flying Blue and Aegean Gold cards with account statements.
Etihad had processed the match in less than three business days.
It is good to know that the Etihad matches are processed more expediently compared to similar promotions in 2013, when it took sometimes a month or more.
Also, I am glad to learn that Etihad is honoring the original terms and conditions for those that applied before the T&C’s change.
